I have just received a Rigby Sling for my .275 Rigby and it is the type of which you tie the leather end/lace directly to the swivel on the barrel and stock. Does any member know what the traditional/correct knot to use in this situation? Wish to tie correctly and do not want to see my Rigby come loose and crash to the ground. Advice much appreciated.

There's another way to attach your sling onto the rifle. It's not quite as fiddly as tying a knot:

 this may help ,,look up some flyfishing knots and put some type of leather lubricant so it goes thru the eyes easy ...paul
