I recently saw an original Mauser Model M sporter up for auction with both double set triggers and a Greener type safety. It was obvious from looking at the trigger guard and triggers that they were not original, and indeed, the original trigger guard with hinged floorplate, obviously set up for a normal Mauser trigger, came with the rifle. My question is whether the Greener safety, which is designed to work on a normal trigger, would also work with the double set trigger arrangement. I don't see how it could, but I am willing to be shown otherwise.
