Nice! We only see them when they move north to Sinny about August.

Good photo JG. Do you put feed out for them, or in the flowers and bushes near the deck?

BTW my resident owls are no longer in their normal tree. More of a winter tree. But changing irrigation taps one night heard them above me, and spotted one flying away, and three on a limb together. I am guessing they were young birds. No photos, was using a torch spotlight to have a look at them.

Yes JH I do put out a little feed, only enough to keep them coming back and just enough for a treat rather than a total feed. I put it out early AM and then later in the day, other than that they have to look after themselves.

I do love the owls too,a neighbour was saying how the cats/foxes would knock off the ringtail possums and leave the tail only in his garden...I suggested it would be far more likely to be a Powerful Owl and I`m yet to see one. I do hear the Mopokes a bit.

Great photo Gryph. Now I've moved out of town I have bird feeders attracting Rosellas & King Parrots, hopefully I might be able to emulate your photographic success.
