My wife and I built a new home 2 years ago, and for the past 3 months we've been working with a decorator to help us put in the finishing touches. Well the decorator was here early this morning, and she told me that I need 2 more Zebra skin rugs for the floor of my trophy room. Now I've got to go back to Africa on another Safari. Oh well, I suppose we all have a cross to bear. Joan said that the decorator didn't say I had to go back, just that I needed the rugs. Somehow it just didn't come across that way to me. What do you think?

Mike,
Here's a suggestion:
Go get a white striped Tanzanian zebra with Steve and then go to Namibia for a Hartmann's mountain zebra.
A Hartmann's hunt will be one of the most difficult but satisfying you will ever do, that is if you have not done one yet.

I hunted Hartman's Mountain Zebra in Namibia, once ! That was when my knee was only 1/2 destroyed. Now it's about 75% wrecked, so those mountain hunts are only memories now, sad to day.

Tough orders Mike. Its a wonder you don't mutiny!
Oh well I guess you will just have to go on safari again and get more of those damned striped horse skins.
I have one on the floor, a second one sitting in Melbourne at my taxidermist and the third still in Zimbabwe. One will become a shoulder mount and the other a flag rug, making it two for me.
Does anyone have any good ideas what to do with a zebra backskin?

The back skins of most African Game animals can be made into beautiful decorative pillows. Zebra in particular are especially striking because of the lovely patterns on the back. One thing you can do to make your skins go further, is when the pillows are made up, only use the skin on one side, and fabric on the other.
I have 2 rugs on the floor now, and my 3rd Zebra is being made into a pedistal mount.

Mike,
It just so happens I can help you aquire two more Hartmann's. You need to supply airfare and I'll bring the bullets.
