12 gauge for Skeet

Hi
Shot some DTL and Skeet for the first time in about 30 years this week. Forgot how much fun it was. I shot the skeet with a trap gun, 30 inch barrels and choked full and mod. That to some extent and my lack of practice plus slowing reaction times led to an interesting single digit score!! I know the latter reasons were the main factors as the other guys shot ok with their trap guns.

Having said that, what is the preferred set up for skeet - 26 inch barrels and skeet/skeet?

Rick,

The vast majority are using 28 inch barrels with skeet/skeet, in saying this there is nothing wrong with 26 inch barrels they just happen to fall out of favour a fair few years ago. My personal preference are 30 inch, smother to swing and I prefer the longer sighting plain.
