They are murder in the yard. I have them show up from time to time. The trees in my front yard aren't very pretty because of these brutes. I think I would be arrested if I had one behave that badly. But the local food bank would have a good supply of meat for a while.

Where were these photographs taken Daryl?

Believe they were taken in Valemont, B.C., 2 hours East of here. After the frozen apples I'd suspect. Note the little brown apples shown in the middle picture are missing in the bottom 'shot'.

Much the same thing happens across the street from me (every other year), but with crows and ravens eating the apples, not moose.

Its been a snowy winter up in the north half of the Province so far, so they're taking whatever they can get. I bet sugary apples smell awfully good after a couple months of dead or dormant browse!

Deer and moose and wolves and elk are showing up all over town here, and a moose and two deer went through the property early this morning, but I haven't seen THAT yet

More snow fall than normal here so far - might be a bad one, this year.
