Mak and Geese
      #218600 - 29/10/12 08:11 PM

Working Mak on the geese over rice. Birds starting to come in good numbers and should pick up with more rain.
Had a good arvo taking around 9 over the decoys with #2 steel. Also got a black duck.
Mak is retreiving well but not to hand every time, more work should fix this. He is coming along well but is still in that A.D.D weimeraner hyper active stage. Stayed close and didnt break on the wallabies which has been a problem in the past. Heres some pics Mick

Decoys about 35m from where i was set up.

I'm jealous. Yet to shoot a magpie goose.

Well done and to Mak too.

Mick:
Are you required to shoot steel on waterfoul? Or is it by choice?

What sort of a bind, if any do you use, Mick?

Daryl- No blind on this occasion, first night there so just set up near a small bush. We use a camo net in other locations. Cheers Mick
