Mine came a couple of days ago, less than a week from Alaska! Excellent service (I have had longer from within the UK)

Well worth the money, it has a wealth of information and pictures of these unique arms

I received my copy yesterday and stayed up late going through it. The amount of information contained in the one book would take years to pull together from various sources, if one were left on his own. There were many photos and they were presented well. If your a doublegun afficionado or a bore rifle fanatic, your going to love this book. All others take heed, the bore rifle virus is alive and spread liberally throughout the pages of this book.

well gatsby..I´ve ordered mine now. Look´n forward to it even more now with your mighty fine report . I`ve decided not to sell my borerifle after all. I just a little patience and find myself a smallbore a la 577 or .500ex for the daily deerpopn´.

Gents:
Thanks to many of you for your kind words and for ordering both the bore rifle book and the .600 book. If you are going to the Dallas show I hope to see you there. I will spend most of my time at the African Hunter magazine's booth and should be there for the four days--the first two are for sure and a small chance may see going on a deer hunt the last two days. I will have some of my books with me for the show. Please stop by and say, "Hi" as it would be my pleasure to meet you.
Cheers,
Cal

RS, Good as I ordered the four for you and presumably they will be in the four unopened boxes.

I will PM you the cost as I will take the four books to the PO and see if some cheaper than a express bag is cheaper and send them to you (ie for four books - still need to weigh the books individually and see what the best options are).

Information sent to all Aussie pre-orderers including the payment information, priced at cost. I have the books packed and ready to go. I need some postal addresses still from people!

***

Any Aussies still want a "The British Bore Rifle" or "The .600 Nitro Express" books ?

The price is cheaper than ordering direct from Alaska.

Books available:
Price (including Aust postage):
The British Bore Rifle – A$135
The .600 Nitro Express – A$110

The British Bore Rifle - two only available
The .600 Nitro Express - possibly one only available but may already be sold? - need to check an email order.

Payment can be made by paypal or bank transfer.

I received my copy two or three weeks ago -- only got the time to sit down with it days ago.
Very nice piece of work!

This will definitely be something to have in the library years from now too, lots of enduring value under that dust slip...

I had the pleasure to meet Cal at the Dallas Safari Club Show a couple of weeks back. I picked up a copy of The .600 Nitro, and today my British Bore Rifles book arrived in the mail, which he graciously autographed.

If you like bore rifles and hammer doubles, do not miss this one. It will be sure to keep me up late for quite a few evenings to come.

Yes its an excellent read, a most impressive book. Like most DR books I just wish it had a little more on medium and small bores (16, 20 etc.) but that is just my bias. However, most of the big bore fans will not have that problem so I'd highly recommend it!

I bought Cal's book "The British Bore Rifle" wonderful book. Spent several and will spend more in the future leafing through the book. Ah the days of Africa in the late 19th century (1880s) carrying a 20 pound 4-bore, your tired and sweating and in the thick brush is a wounded tusker..................

Cal,
I got my copies of both of your books some time back and I have really enjoyed going back and reading them over again from time to time. They are truely wonderful books with lots of good information in them as well as many great pictures too! Any of you guys out there with an interest in large bore doubles need to have these books. They are well worth the money and more! Bob

Plus one - by pure coincidence I have the book next to me whilst watching the box (about Japan!) and on this forum

I have recently bought a 10 bore paradox also which I will post when I get it refinished (only a little!)
