Curious about the bottom metal, as well as the barrel contour. I had a Gustav 98 .30-06 that has a similar contour.....possible " factory commercial/sporter" ?????

IMO it looks like american made custom rifle. There is some details whose aren´t typical for Husqvarna factory-made rifles.

Not disputing the "american made custom rifle" ....my question was about the bottom metal and barrel. Seller knows nothing.

Gunsmith Dennis Olson of Plains,Mt makes hinged FP like that

but then again it is a generic way to hinge the FP other than '09 style or lever

As I said, nor barrel, bottom metal or bolt handle are´t typical for Husqvarna. So I just mean that this rifle isn´t a factory custom.

LongIsland, I have had Dennis cut many, many chambers for me as well as sundry other work over the years. Highly recommend him. I had/have not seen a bottom metal work over by him, so had no reference.....thou the stock looks like it could well be of his hand.

Igorrock, I seen that it (floorplate) was serial numbered to the rest, so that triggered my wonderment of if it may have been factory/commercial/originally a release/hinged floorplate.
