I find this for sale. It seems to be in quite good original condition. It even has a special left side BRNO safety. If the caliber is different I would have more interests to it.
By the way; does anybody know if any manufacturer still makes this kind of safety ?

I have one of those in a full stock rifle, not carbine. Neat round. The safety takes a little getting used to.

TERRIFIC wood, by Brno 21 standards. I have a very late (1955) 7x57, my go-to hunting rifle, with wood reminiscent of a basketball court--plain and blonde, and no figure to speak of at all. But the lines are lovely, and the condition is excellent. And it's accurate as hell. I'll post a pic soon!
Bolt handle on this 8x60 is non-original, by the way--probably a replacement for the factory butterknife, which one internet wag described as "designed by a florist." Not an entirely unfair assessment, to be honest. This replacement no doubt makes the gun more scope-compatible. Back with more soon...

I have seen those butterknife bolt handles mostly in full stock carbines. Normal bolt is quite ordinary in those late version m21:s whose have normal lenght fore end. And there is some other details varying how old the rifle is too.

That´s definetly an original Brno bolt handle. They made both types. The butterknife is more often seen (on rifles and Mannlicher stocked rifles and carbines).

I had no idea Brno put round-knob bolts on the 21/22--every one I've seen, either in person or in photos, full-stocked or half, long-barreled or short, square bridge or round, has had the usual butterknife, with the exception of a friend's rifle that he had altered for scope clearance. Live and learn!

I was thunking that is a great bit of timber on the rifle. Looks like it would handle well.
