That first Buff was a real close call. Shows you need to be able to move without triping over or getting in the way of the PH's gun.

Agree. Have been closer than that in thick saplings to a hiding and wounded Water Buffalo Bull that luckily didn't charge but I reckon it would have been just like that if he had.

An impressive charge, especially as it happens in dense bush and the buff seems coming from nowhere. And as more usual than not in Africa, lots of branchs in the shooting lane. The good thing is that a such short notice one has hardly time left to be get scared. But as I haved stated a couple of time, do buffs charge in the real life. I have so sweated tracking buffs for having them madly always decamping (hairy ass yes, bad ass no) that I am pretty sure that a charging buff is a really rare occurence. Conversely, it's fraquent that a herd stampede right in our laps. So far I haven't met anybody or even a PH being charged by a buff.

The charging buffalo is a good seller of hunts.
In that video we don't actually know if the buff was actually charging or merely running in a direction and just missed the guy. It could have hooked the person if it wanted to.
Either a charge or a "drive by" it sure would have been exciting and pants staining ...
Elephant on the other hand DO charge a lot, even if most charges are bluffs.
