I always have a pair of binoculars in the car, and they tend to be handled quite hard. So now I need a new pair. I found several Hensoldt 10*50 and 8*30 binoculars very cheap on german web sites. Anyone have any experience with these binoculars? Are they any good?
I believe that they are a generic label as are Hertel and Reuss. There are better but it comes down to the law of diminishing returns (as the price increases).
As far as I know Hensoldt are military grade optics made by Zeiss. So by name they should be ok, but are they as good as civilian Zeiss optics from the 80`s?
