The wolves are going to love it though, when it freezes again in a couple days. Nice thick crust for them to hunt on, but not strong enough to support the moose :/

Standard procedure around here, every year. The deer are up to their necks or backs and moose 1/2 way up their sides and a single wolf or two can kill either by eating on them as they try to get away, no chance.

Phil , great pictures and great follow up . way tougher than me , grew up in florida I have to put on the long johns if it goes below 65. chuck.
