What do you estimate him to be ?

Over 14 - 15 feet by the looks of him.

An easy 5m long flatdog from the pics (looking at the tail and hind legs)

You can't see the whole body which makes it hard to judge
and why I erred on the side of caution.

I know what a 16-17ft+ looks like as I see it every year.

Well done Gryphon, it is not normal to get this close unless in a park. In the second photo it is like he is saying "Just a little bit closer stupid"

Gryp what did you do to him, pull his tail. He certainly does not look happy in the second pic.

Nice photos, you must have a good camera to, I only get very ordinary pictures from mine no matter how hard I stalk up on stuff LoL !

Nice big fellow all right, look how bold he is, in the old days when I started up there, if you could find a Croc you only ever saw his eye bumps (hard to get a bead on them) & a Vee in the water, now half his body showing out of the water, amazing !!
