AKA known as a gang Gang Cockatoo,this is an immature cock bird that I caught up with last night on my way into the sambar zone.The young fella accepted my advance towards him enough to get my final pic.
Moving upstream on the dry side to allow a look into the green side I found the "arse of a wombat" that warranted another look or two and yep it was indeed a deer that eventually lifted its head.This was at a rough est 400 -500 yards and I closed in on them with some slow stalking through the cornflake like eucalyptus leaves. After some time there were three fat velvet lads feeding about on the opposite side,very enjoyable watching too!

haha Nige,i just got my fat computer ring off the chair mate and went for a walk,I was editing to add the first sambar pic of it in its bed when the power failed...aaaaarrrggghhh!
