If you had only one hunting opportunity in North America, what would you hunt and where would you go to hunt it?

Do you mean hunt only one animal......period, or one shot at a dream hunt ?
If I were confined to just one animal, for me it would be the whitetail deer. Most available, economical to hunt & a big buck is an awesome trophy
My dream hunt animal is a no brainer. Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep. What amazing animals!!!! Some day................

The North American game I would most want to hunt is: Brown or Grizzly Bear, Moose, Elk.
If I had to pick one it would be Grizzly Bear.
Not sure where in North America, maybe the Kamchatka Peninsula (only joking of course). I would have to ask our knowledgable people here.

My favorite animal to hunt, and if I could only hunt one animal each year for the rest of my life would be the Dall Sheep. If I were a visiting hunter was going to get to hunt just one animal from North America I would probably pick the Grizzly or Brown Bear.

For me it is easy. If I could only hunt one animal for the rest of my life it would be elk in Wyoming. If it was a one shot dream hunt it would be a pack in trip with horses up around Jackson.

For me the one hunt is a no brainer. A 28 day pack trip in the Yukon or NW Territories for the full bag.
This is one trip I would pick over any other hunt in the World.
The one animal is tougher. A toss up between Dall Sheep and RM Elk. Probably have to go with the Sheep.

Probably an elk hunt in the best trophy bull area in Utah.

one hunt..... as said earlier, Yukon/NWT: Bison, Musk Ox, Caribou, Wolf.
One Animal.... very tough. I think Dall Sheep. or a huge-normous Elk... tough call.... tough tough call...

I want to try a Polar Bear and a Dall Sheep but I'd love to repeat a spring Brown Bear hunt.

It was my good fortune to have taken mine...a Desert Bighorn. The Dall Sheep is co-number one for me. I may sell much of what I own and go after one before I get too old and any fatter.

Big mule deer. North east Nevada or the Arizona strip. If I could ever draw the damn tags.

I'd love to get a desert bighorn. I'm lucky enough to be able to hunt Rock mountain, California, Stone and Dall in my province. For me the ultimate in N.A. would be D.B. first and desert mule deer second.

After reading American gun mags for 40 years - the owner of the local sports store used to give me his old copies of Outdoor Life when I was seven - and never having hunted in the US I'd love to hunt small game eg squirrels, jack rabbits, gophers etc.

ONE? It would have to be a big Moose. Why? Delay that day when there was no game meat in my freezer for as long as possible.
