Must say i do likies! Would be a fun stalking gun for sure. Full wood and double triggers just go together.

What was the 11.2x72 designed for? (Is it a ele class caliber from Europe?)

I would hate to fire that thing. Recoil is even felt harden than the .416Rigby.

Interesting gun indeed, but wrongly dimensioned.

ash, it fire a 400 grains bullet at 2400 f/sec but with the short barrel something less. recoil is maybe a little bit better than if you like this.

The recoil should be about identical in identical rifles to the .416 Rigby. About the same amount of powder, same bullet weight and about same velocity. The reduced bearing length of the .440" bullet would probably make no difference in felt recoil - only stock design & gun weight would tell. I wouldn't shoot it either.

Factor Load - 401gr. - 2,438fps - COTW.
