somethings up with the stock for sure,,the bolt handle looks to be unaltered oberndorf ,but the stock has been cut for the handle and it looks like a sweeped back one at that ,butt pad is added not oberndorf ,,front scnabel is not oberndorf ,, then agaain it could have been a full length stock cut back????barrel band sling swivel is MIA other than that metal looks good ...paul

IMHO someone "improved" a standard factory Mauser B stock by cutting the foreend tip straight and adding a slightly contrasting piece of wood. Easily cut off and reshaped again. The 2 crossbolts are also later additions. Though not in factory original condition any more, still a nice rifle. I would replace that vent buttpad with a red solid one. Price seems to be ok for a 10.75x68 Mauser, if the bore is still useable.

ok, also my thoughts about the stock. it could not be original like this and the lost mauser buttplate can be replaced with a red rubber pad and would still looking fine. not the right time to buy just now for me but an original mauser in 10,75 is allways welcome.

1,200 Euro's - HA! I guess it's worth what you can get for it.
I first estimated what that rifle would bring here in BC - and went well overboard, I think, at $1,000 CDN dollars, due to it having DS triggers and a replairable stock. Of course it would have to have a very good condition bore with very little or no pitting. What's $1,000 CDN, - 500 to 700 Euros?
When I bought my 9.3x62 - an Oberdorf Mauser - quite similar to this one but earlier, complete with DS triggers, solid pad I think it had, and express-type sights, I paid top price at the time - $350.00 at a gun show. That was a decent price.
