Denton Wilson of Dallas went to Alaska on a fly fishing trip in 2009. He ended up getting up close and personal with some of the local apex predators. From having a front row seat to a grizzly fight, to leisurely fishing with them in the same stream, Wilson has tapped into the lives of these Alaskan bruins and put his amateur photography ..

A video would have been nice. The pictures are good, though.
You would not believe the speed they can move at when fighting - ripped out hair flying all over, yet kill one and examine his hide and you'd never know he was in a fight - hair all over the ground around you.
This very scenario happened to a close friend of mine some years ago in Spatsizi National Park, B.C. He and his father-in-law were hunting together and shot the two bears who were grizzlies, who were fighting - several times each, every time a bullet hit a bear, he'd shudder and the other would be on him, tearing out hair - another shot and the roles reversed. Both hunters were using good rifles, but with the adrenalin worked up, the bears seemed bullet proof and even though both bear were dead in less than a minute and a bit, it seemed to go on forever.
