The scroll guard is not really a J&S Hawken guard as far as I know - the scroll itself is quite rounded like osme early Hawken guards, but so were the English guards. On this guard the bow very large for a gloved or mitten'd hand. It was purchased as an English-styled guard, however I've not seen any pictures of rifles or smoothbores with guard bows this large- that I can remember, at any rate. I have the same guard on my 14 bore Sporting Rifle.
The guard came from Trackofthewolf dot com.

That portable table ...they should have taken the pic from the reverse angle imo.
