Triggers and Cocking Pieces
      #202318 - 12/02/12 09:57 PM

Hello Folks

I'm wondering which of the commercial set triggers for 98's work with a "military style" cocking piece. I know the Alaska Arms M70 style one does, but its hellva pricey. Any ideas on the Kepplinger etc ?

(no - I don't want to change the cocking piece, its fitted for a cocking piece sight).

Thanks

On a 98 converted to DSTs the only change is a "lever" is installed where the original trigger would be, the sear and the rest of the bolt ect. are not changed / modified. you will need to modify your bottom metal & stock to accept the DST module . Some Brnos are an exception - the triggers in mounted directly to the bottom metal.

Yes they can be pricey, you could look for a used set, the basic units are all much the same. You'll run into a fair # with the back triggers removed - too complicated for some I guess. I just wish they'd keep the trigger under the butt-plate / somewhere. FWIW --- John303.

If you are looking for a German type double set-trigger, send a PM with your adress. I will send the necessary (used) parts to get rid of them.

Thanks for that very kind offer Kudae, it is much appreciated. However I don't really want to alter my Model B to far from original, I don't mind parts that "just pin on" but I believe the bottom metal must be altered for a German double-set ??

Thanks
