Beretta 20G 471 Opinions.

G'day Fellas,

Looks like I'll be acquiring a new 20g 471 for quail and pheasant hunting. This gun has straight grip with double triggers and case hardened receiver with gold bird scenes and is choked IC & IM.

Peoples thoughts on this gun would be appreciated.

Hi Mark,

You can also get rifle barrel sets for the 20gauge, in fact a set was for sale a little while back. As for quality, you can't go pass a Beretta.

Hi Mark,

I think it was on usedguns.com.au but is not there now so you could send 'David' an Email who may be able to tell you if it sold or the add expired. It was a Beretta set in 9.3x74 (I think) as I sent the guy an Email but when he said it was for a 20gauge ended the discussion as I wanted it for 12gauge.

Was it a side-by-side or an under-and-over ?

The 689 Beretta Gold Sable is a under-and-over double rifle in 9.3x74R and is available with optional 20 gauge shotgun barrels.

The 471 is listed by Beretta as shotgun available in 12 and 20 gauge. It does list a slug set of barrels as well.

A couple of friends have a 20 gauge S-S Beretta shotgun and they are very nice, light and handle well. Don't know the model though.

I have had a 20 gauge Beretta 471 with an English stock, 2 triggers and 5 chokes for about 10 years now, and have been very pleased with it. It seems to be a solid gun for it's price range.

I guess it was the wrong model I was thinking of, as it was an O/U
