Bloody Hell, USA export restrictions ...
      #199676 - 16/01/12 10:35 PM

Bloody hell! Tried to buy a Butler Creek Comfort Stretch Sling for my Mauser M03 from Cabellas in the USA and it is on the banned export list ...

Getting really serious when us OS terrorists can't even acquire a rubber sling from US sources for our battles against the evil empire ... or for shooting rabbits, hares, deer and maybe even swine from time to time!

Tried to buy in online in Oz as well, and only the tactical strategic ninja orientated camouflage coloured slings are in stock, plain brown, even black are just not deadly enough nowadays for the tactical urban ninja warrior!

Next I'll be reduced to telephoning a gun shop to see if I can get one that way! The horror of it all ....

You just found out.

The US is putting more and more restrictions on and it is starting to become a real PITA.

Even for small stuff like trigger springs !!!

Yeah I know. I bought some stuff for my Tikka/Valmet and Jeff's Outfitters had them sent from Italy instead of the USA for the same reason.

Just mounts, a trigger, some "ribs" etc.

John: email me with the product number or catalog number. I'll get it and ship it to you. I'll call it a rubberized strap. That should work.

It's getting silly, for sure. That is why I'm attempting to get the die for Neale. I'm hoping they can still ship that to me from the States. If that fails, a friend of mine just down the street has an FFL, just for such emergencies- however export changes FROM the States effect even them.
