Mandgurin bear, Asian black bear, some information.

Hello all.

The asian black bear, also called the mandgurian bear, the one I am thinking of is black with a light ,withe, colored spot on the chest.

Is these bear still hunted?
If yes, where can I do it?

Doesn't India still have black bears - don't think they are hunted, though, maybe in the North - guessing?

BTW- most of ours (BC) have a white diamond on their chest, usually only seen when they rear up onto their hind legs.

ALL hunting is banned in india and yes there are asiatic black bears in india.

Russia has asiatic black bear hunting. Due to international pressure, the winter hunting (during hibernation) has been banned recently so beware of outfitters selling hunting in lairs during hibernation.

You can hunt in summer in oat fields or other places.

It never fails to amaze me that when the hunting goes, so do the animals. India, Kenya,.......

Why hunting as a whole hasn't managed to get this simple fact out there is even more amazing.

There are reports of black bears in the northern parts of Pakistan in Chitral region.However they cannot be hunted.
