Wouldn't a photo album like that be a find in a garage sale or some odds and ends auction.

And it is on the Aust National University's website too, dead tigers and all.

My pleasure John. I, too, give Aust. National University high marks. It seems the Brits harbor a sense of national shame at their imperialistic past, doing their utmost to supress the flow of such materials, both institutionally and privately. Think of what must be out there, if only in the form of the sporting memoirs of countless colonial officers spread around the globe.

A gifted man, Mr. Corbett. I think I've reread his books as often as any other hunting related author. British Colonial Officers often enjoyed much leisure time with which to experience the sporting life the world over, while reaping the benefit of cheap labor to handle both, their domestic chores and all the heavy work, afield. What unique lives they led.
