I'm looking for some good photos of bomas or zaribas.
Preferably historical black and white photos.
Good if they surround a camp, tents or even better a shanty like hunt or trading post.
There was a famous trading post near the Lado Enclave called the "Boma Trading Post". The name on the map of the Congo still exists too.
Good quality scans from old books would be welcome. Or even just references to where such photos are in old books.
Thanks.
PS If you don't know, most here would know, a boma or zariba is the thorn bush fence or stockade put around a camp as a defence against lions, animals or cannibal natives!

Off Topic: In that post 500Nitro, is a picture of a large bodied and well muscled Roan. On every visit to Zim I went to Hwange NP and I have never seen a Roan with a body that large. What a magnificent specimen.

Just had a look at it, not up to speed on those things so thanks for the heads up.
I'll have another read and see what they say about it.

Thanks 500nitro. The photos in that online book however are too blurred for what I want to do with them.
I think some stills from a couple of movies is what I am thinking of.
A google search mostly found models of them only.
