Now that's downright scary looking.

VERY interesting gun, though. I like the 'modern auto" in your title.

Afraid I wouldn't be shooting it. I prefer a standing breech between me and a slamming back bolt.

in this days simply called auto because machine guns were out of sight

its a honest gun and dont hide the moving breech block before your eyes. this sheet metal cover on other automatics is for girls




become a man, fire the Sjögren gun, dont let you disturbed from a massive block running against your head




btw, I believe this semi auto hype is a bubble and will not survive like the internet

Thirty years ago I got one in 12GA and used it a lot.
It's the forerunner of the Benelli as it works on the inertia principle.
Certainly it's not the most elegant automatic shotgun ever produced but it's extremely well made and functions flawlessly.
Indeed I prefer a nice 20GA Cosmi but I shall be glad in getting one in my rack.

Desiged by Swedish inventor Carl Axel Theodor Sjögren, manufactured in Denmark by Håndvåbenværkstederne Köpenhamn in 1909. They come up for sale here now and then. I have shot one on the clay grounds... great fun. It hold 5 shells in the tube.

this 12/70 one sold cheap for 360 euro, certainly not everyone's taste but love it and when I ever need a auto shotgun it will be hard to decide ... the Auto 5 or the Sjögren

its not a beauty queen but having lots of charakter while the auto 5 is undoubtedly the best looking semi auto shotgun ever made
