New trigger for Mausers
      #193871 - 16/11/11 12:11 PM

Yesterday I met a machinist here in Alaska who has been making nice QD rings for the CZ series of rifles for awhile.
His passion however is Mausers and he showed me the new triggers he is building for them. They are basically Win M-70 style adapted for the M-98. He has a large number of both the rings and the tiggers in stock. I was impressed enough that I picked up a set for my MkX .458

He has a web in case you with to take a look

Thanks 458Win
Do you know if these will fit a commercial mauser as in Parker Hale etc?

they should fit any M-98 action. If you check out their web you can see exactly how to fit them as well

Thank you most interesting... The trigger should one need one. Only one of mine has the std Mauser set up an careful stoning sorted it out.

Now I don't normally like vertically split rings but their rings are a different beast altogether...

John;
Just because a man hangs up a shingle saying he is a gunsmith does not make it so. I spent a lot of time doing you tube videos on properly installing, adjusting and doing a safety check on these triggers. Have a look at them if it is something you want to have a go at I will give you advice over the phone. If You simply can't get through it send it to me and I will finish it up for you. Either way you will get a great triggers that works safely.
Bottom line is they are easy to install as long as you follow instructions and take a few simple measurements before you start, because of the amount military safety's retract the striker assembly(firing pin) they make for a easier installation.
If you have any more questions please feel free to give me a call.
Thank you
Morris

Morris has been in the machining and the gunsmithing business a very long time and has a sterling reputation for quality. If he is offering a product for sale it means he has the product on hand and it is ready to ship

just an update. Morris was quite cordial in his talk over the phone and gave me great assurance I would not encounter any problems with his product. He mailed out my trigger Friday and I got it today, his packaging of trigger was in a small square tin with instructions and 2 small allen wrenches.

After installing and making the necessary adjustments on the trigger on my 1935 Chilean 7x57 I can say only wow! Just like my Winchesters, no creep, no overtravel, crisp 2.5# pull. Figure after this install I did I will most assuredly buy another to put on my J.C.Higgins M50 98 .458WM and shelf the Timney.

Thanks for the heads up Phil!
