Reticule Change
      #192629 - 27/10/11 02:50 PM

Hello Folks

I’m looking for a scope to compliment my Mauser Kurz, and I’m hoping to do it in a scope that is at least a nod to the correct period “pre WW2” - something from Zeiss or Hensoldt etc..

Trouble is I’ve had several scopes with posts (like most scopes of this period that I see) and I’m dammed if I can shoot with them, fine on paper, hopeless in the bush and mountains !!

Is it possible to have a new reticule fitted to the old Zeiss, Hensoldt or Ajack scopes ?? Who does it ??

Thanks - Foster

Think of theodolite repair services and you'd be on the money.

Hi Tentman,

I have used this company over the years and do a first class job.

http://www.fielderinstrument.com.au/

An extract from their site.:

"We also specialise in the repair & service of all optical instruments including Binoculars, Telescopes , Rifle Scopes. Our workshop has a unique Invar Base Line for traceable EDM calibration."

I hope that this helps,

Cheers,

Jeff Gray

Try Wilhelm Optics in Christchurch. Search for his website or contact on sales@wilhelm.co.nz. Top person on scope and binocular optics and repairs.

This bloke is Zeiss trained in europe and does a lot of work on older Kahles and Pecar scopes.

Thanks - I've talked with Malcolm and he seems very competent and helpful, so I'm looking forward to sending him some business in due course. Thanks for the leads.
