If you could call it "hunting" at all.
More like "shooting".

If you waited until the right time, and lined them up correctly, you could get 2 of them with one shot and then take the third !!!
Or wait until dark and use the Spotlight !!! LOL

Hey, Gryph, if we wore a Pith helmet, Safari jacket, used a Double Rifle and a Hydro, would we be able to say "we had gone on a Hunting Safari
And then sit in the bar and espouse what great hunters we are
I am sure that would get you going !!! LOL

You missed the point of my post. I was trying to get a reaction from you by trying to justify the "TROPHY'S" as true "hunted" trophies, as opposed to the one's you detest, the "let's put a feeder out, enclose them behind wire, let's use a spotlight type of "trophies"."

I live about an hour away from a place called Fossil Rim in Central Texas. They have all kinds of animals on display for a "Drive Through" photo safari. Interesting place to go every now and then.
A couple of years ago, we were passing from one pasture into another. Just at the gate, there was a large herd of Mouflon sheep and other exotic goats. About 75 yards away, under a large shaded tree, was a huge Bongo Bull. All the cars were pulled over and the people were out petting, feeding, and generally going Ape Sh*t over the the sheep and goats. No one paid any attention to the Bongo laying right out in the open.
It just struck me as typical of the Urban dwellers' lack of understanding of what is truly important in nature.

The photo is reported as coming from a breeding pen. Hell what a fantastic breeding pen!
But if those animals are ever put out into a "paddock" for "hunting", well, they look a mite bit tame to me. Probably have pet names too.
HG
Maybe the big bongo bull would stick his horns into someone's guts if they tried to "pet" him.
I would never even pet a farmed fallow buck let alone a crazy African jungle antelope.
But you are right, hells bells, I would bust a cap, to see a bongo like that for photographs. Such a beautiful animal.
