damascus and buckeye burl

hi all,
thought iīd show a pic of the latest one out the shop.

itīs made from a peice of carbon damascus in a tight twist pattern.

the scales are stabilized buckeye burl.

the overall length is 213mm with a blade thats 105mm
it is 4.5mm thick

havenīt had time to make the sheath yet,
but i ordered the leather yesterday so hopefully iīll get it this week,

still thinking of what colour to dye the sheath.

Yes "magnificent" would be the word. A very fine piece indeed. Fatboy told me to search this out and I am glad he did.

BTW the Buckeye tree is the State tree of Ohio.
Some of the burls on the old trees are incredibly large and magnificent in themselves.
