Ruger #1 in .450 NE 3-1/4

The rifle is here. It's the Boddington Elephant series. Serial number 227 out of 250. Haven't shot it yet. Just sit here, play with the computer and dry fire the gun. The good Lord willing, the photos should be posted soon. I'm a total Luddite when it comes to Photobucket. The photos are there, under Poprivit's account, but with help they will be here. I have some Hornady coming, and will let you know how it shoots.

The wood is above average, the finish is matt blue and the action is tight, tight, tight. Looks like the safety will cause the usual problems, but that's zero problem. I bought it through Cabelas in Reno, had it shipped to Las Vegas (110 degrees today).

Total cost with Nevada sales tax - $1072. Definitely a good price.

If you are interested in one, check Cabela's Gun Library. They had two more when I bought mine - $998.00.

Well we do crave pictures. If you were here in western (not West) Virginia you wouldn't have to wait for Hornady ammo.
