Nephew and a mate came up for a week, from Boddington. Walked a few creeks for 6 pigs. Dwayne got his first a sow with the 223 . Next was a mob asleep and we got 4. Dwayne taking two more , Lewis got one with the 358 and I got another with the 300. Walked another creek and I got a boar with the 300. Had a good arvo. Heres some Pics Mick

Looks like the youngsters aren't even wearing socks.

Unlike down south, with bindies,jacks,burrs,gentle annies ,love grass etc there is bugger all realy in the way of prickles and burrs up here mostly grass seeds, sharp grass and burnt sticks ,I still wear pants and boots just to save scratches and stabs not realy for prickles.

Yeah, not a great deal of burs or bindis but the Mimosa makes up for the lack of them. Fires had already been thru and the grassy areas in the creeks were providing some cover for the pigs. Lewis and Dwayne were suffering from a late night on the turps. Heres some pics of the mimosa, some places its that thick you cant move thru it. Bought in by scientists s a shade and food source for cattle, from south America. Only good thing about it is that pigs do well in it . Mick
