According to an article in a Norwegian newspaper today, over half of the male population in China that are over 40 years of age have an impotens problem. And the majority doesn't go to get professional help from modern doctors.
Thus, knowing that the Chinese have tradionally used animal parts such as powdered rhino horn, tiger penis and god knows what else to cure this ailment, I wonder how much of various poaching products from africa end up in the far east.
I know that rhino horn has been smuggled out for that purpose, but are there other african animal products that end up being used by the Chinese?
Perhaps a large donation of Viagra to China would be a good idea to lessen the poaching of rhino. Maybe SCI would be interested in donating a container or 2 or the stuff?

And no John, I am not doing research for my own consumption if that's what you're thinking!!!
It's about time these people realised it's all in the mind.......... I've tried rhino horn and it doesn't work at all..........every time I tied the bloody thing on it was so heavy it just fell off!!!!
On a slightly more serious note, one of my trackers came to me the other day and told me that he had been married for 5 years and still didn't have any children......could I offer any advice. So I sent him to the local doctor. When he came back he had changed out of his normal tatty clothes and was dressed in a very smart top hat and tails, with razor sharp creases in his trousers and bright shiny shoes.......when I asked him what it was all about, he told me that the doctor had examined him and then told him he was impotent......and h had decided that if he was impotent, he was going to dress like he was impotent!
Sorry to abuse your thread Erik, but my sense of humour just got the better of me!
Chinese have never had difficulty reproducing, as evidenced by their population which is offically reported at 1.3 billion but which outside observers think is 1.4 or 1.45 billion (what's 150 million extra people?).
However, it may be the case that half the Chinese male population over 40 THINK they are impotent. Which may be why the Chinese courts just overturned the Viagra patent so that cheap generic Viagras can now be made. Perhaps cheap generic viagra can kill the market for rhino nose.
