Afro asked so here we go.
This knife style I call my 'Darwin Skinner' because a few years ago I sold some up there.Even a couple to Pro Meat Hunters.
Same steel etc,length 9 1/2" or 24cm.Handle Ringed Gidgee.

This one, same knife in bright sun to show Gidgee handle.Reflections on blade, ceiling.

Clive.

Thanks for your interest.
Those three knives are for sale at $350 each.
I only have a couple of others and a couple of 'roughies' made of tool steel.

Cheers
Clive.

G'day Clive.

Clive's knives are the knife equivalant of Afro's work. They are as sharp as and hold a good edge. I know, I have one, not the Darwin skinner but similar. Clive made one up for a mate in NZ who saw and used mine, and his has done a lot of work.

The leather sheaths Clive makes are good and durable.
Cheers

Greg

Clive, I know it has been awhile, I'll get around to dropping around.

Thanks for the interest Fellas

Mike Bailey---The actual Blade is 4" or 10cm.The Steel is ATS34 a Stainless Steel that after I have it Pro. Heat Treated will keep a very good edge but is still OK to be sharpened in the Field.I make the handles on the Darwin Skinner just a bit longer than usual--for bigger hands and comfort when the knife is being used cutting upward.

Greg,I thoight you'd fallen off the World.
How's the Convex sharpening going? Got it down Pat yet?

Cheers
Clive.

Beautifully done,

Do you do any other handles to customer specs? specifically antler or micarta scales?

Kind regards,

MOG

Thanks MOG

Yes,I quite often use Antler, and Micarta scales usually canvas for hunting and military knives.
A lot depends what customer specs entails.eg sometimes Red Antler is too thick for smaller hunting knives.

Cheers
Clive.
