Few pigs with 300 wm
      #185945 - 16/07/11 09:44 PM

Had a good arvo finding a small mob on a creek system. Went past the spot on the way down as the wind was blowing towards it. On the way back i put up a sow who was coming out of the creek and she went into a thick patch of spindly paper barks. The mob came out of the paperbarks and I managed to get three with the 300.
Moved on to another spot and found a good boar in a muddy billabong. He was feeding and the only shot offered was a texas shot thru some thick fresh water mangroves. He dropped at the shot but managed to get up onto the bank and required another 180 TTSX. He was a good size . Recovered one of the TTSX projectiles.
Rifle is a winchester feather weight in 300wm.
heres some pics Mick

Last boar

Small boar out of the first mob.

Great work,

300's are hammers on pigs.

Regards,

MOG
