G'day, Robert. Nope, I haven't used anything more than the 180 grain projectile. I have it in mind, seldom as I get to utilise it, as a flat-shooter. However, that donk was 200 metres or so, which is a long way for me!

Yep, John, it seems to slot-in real nice!

Phillip that is bloody good looking timber on your rifle.

Ben you and your brother are going to have slow down or you will have that barrel shot out before Christmas

The No. 1 in .300 would be my choice of the factory guns to rebore to .318 or .333 because of the barrel length and sights.

I would have to check, but I think the length of the H&H chamber would preclude the use of the barrel for either of those as a simple rechamber and rebore. Maybe the .333 could be done, but not the 318 unless the barrel was set back a little.

G'day SharpsNitro, I think the pack is a Eberlestock Blue Widow. I don't mind carrying it around a bit during the cold season, but I don't think I will during the hot season.

Ah! It looked like an X2 but seemed a little too large. I bought an X1 last year but have not had much opportunity to try it out. Have you tried their scabbards yet?

Nope, haven't tried the scabbard, yet. But I think it'll hold a back-quiver full of arrows nicely on an overnighter. Sorry for the late reply.

I tested the loads for the .300H&H today (thanks to John M. for the loan of the chrony), and they (PPSN and Hydro, both 180 grains) do about 2850fps. They seem to work, anyway.
