US-Team (Ivan, Chris and Tony) in Germany, 05-2011...
      #182307 - 24/05/11 04:50 AM

In the last two weeks I had the big oppurtunity to meet:

- Ivan Carter
- Chris (Heym Ceo from USA)

here in Germany, at some meetings and shooting, in the Heym factory.

Some famous PH, Big Gamer Hunter and Weapon Experts.

It was an great pleasure to meet them, see and hear their way of living, likes and dis-likes about Weapons, Africa, etc.
We had an great time and I learned a lot.
(The onyl thing what we dont have was an camp-fire :-))

Here I post for you some photos.

Best wishes from Germany and sorry (ones more) for my bad english.

Sounds like a fun visit.

Does Heym use cold hammer forged barrels?

I used to own a Heym .600 (nothing fancy), and it was a hell of a good shooter. However, my skull is not thick enough for that kind of punishment.

Yes I wanted to highlight that hugely generous invitation too. Been having wireless connection problems the last few days and the thread would open again.

Thank you very much for that invitation to members of NE, Dr FM.

I for one definitely plan to take up the offer to visit one day. Maybe if I can swing it, next year in September/October.

Hoping to visit Norma, Verney-Carron and now Heym, if it all works out.

Magnificent guns, there! Thank you, Dr FM, for a most lovely post! That said, I must also hold you responsible for causing frustration - you have a picture of a Heym bolt action for a planned new series of rifles but zero information. Not fair at all! We need more information, sir!

Thank you in advance and good hunting to you and everyone at Heym!

A great post Dr FM. Look forward to meeting you again soon at the factory or the .600NE challenge next year (I ordered the .375 Flanged 88B Sidelock and .416 Express at the factory a few months ago on the same day you visited, when we had lunch together).
