EAW, the scope mount people

Boy, did I screw up:

It seems the reply from EAW was sent to my delete file instead of my inbox. I do not have any idea how that happened.

Anyway, EAW responded on 13 May.

So moderator, would you please delete this post so that I no longer slander the good name of EAW.

Hi Carpediem,

I know that this is not what you want to hear but they will not deal with just anyone, even a licenced firearms dealer which I was some years back and referred me back to THEIR Agent. From memory it is Hans Polmer the S&B scope Importer Agent. That name may be spelt wrong but just look at a S&B add to get his details.

Before you worry to much, I think that Recknagel makes a 'duplicate' of theirs so give Graeme Spraggon a call on 0427 319 589 or graemesp@bigpond.com

I just pulled Graeme's card and it says EAW/ERA Mounts so don't do the above just speak to Graeme.

Carpediem is in Alberta, Canada.

But you are right in this.

That is why they have agents, so they don't have to answer every enquiry from around the world - which is even worse
now with the internet / email.

Yep.

I would also try doing some searching on the internet.

I'd also ask Merkel themselves.

I'd see what other people have done as it probably isn't a common question.

On their website it list New England Guns for the USA but nothing for Canada...

I've sent EAW an email and see if I can get a response regarding their agents around the world, and specifically Canada.

I'll post information if I receive it.

NECG carries EAW and Recknagel. They are good folks to deal with. Spend a dollar or two, the price of a long-distance call from Alberta to New Hampshire, and give them a call.

I ran into an issue with NECG regarding the availability of Suhler style claw mounts a while back and tried contacting EAW as well. Even though the inquiry had to do with how one goes about being a distributor for their product it went unanswered. As it turned out with NECG they had apparently misunderstood availability of Recknagel product which Recknagel quickly resolved. With that I second Ron_Vella and suggest that you go straight to NECG.
