Not many images surviving in this old thread.

Ibex, a famous image often on plagiarist social media.

Spectacular position for a nap.

Borrowed images, I'd better ask him for permission of Nathan Little's hunt. A spectacular location and a fine trophy. Obviously hard worked for. Nathan has started up his own gun and assorted stuff and services retail business in the UK. I'll willingly give it a plug.

No way I'd be grumpy after pulling off a "right'n'left" on tigers!

reminds me on a visit on a german island in the baltic years ago. the island was a prohibited area in the cold war and when the german migration bird society came on the island in the early 90s there was only the light house, the birds, one old house and some shetland ponys roaming free the island. when they came to the desolate house one shetland pony was looking out of the window in the first floor. the ponys walking the stairs up and down and sleeping in the first floor at night.

Yes indeed!
The Global Warming movement really did pick the wrong poster-child in the polar bear: those things can live anywhere!

I was just sitting outside with the mosquitoes, smoking, listening to Corbett, and wishing I lived in a big game area With tigers and leopards in the dark jungle around. But not man-eaters! If that is possible.I have a building behind my house, that looks a bit like an Indian Hill station bungalow.:)

Lovely those leopards. Simply spectacular.

The tiger in the crop field. Has flattened a sizable sleeping area. Perhaps a good hunting area for crop raiding deer and antelope. But a danger for farmers, workers and villagers. Not something to stumble upon.

The good and the bad of living with dangerous wildlife. Often mostly not good for locals. But IMO an existence, for a hunter far more interesting than living aswecdin our sterile saccharine modern lives. Adventure!

That would be a surprise if opening ones door!

I'm looking forward to my Corbett Pigrimage in less than a year. Started doing serious research plus re-reading and listening.

How cool will it be to isten to Corbett smoking outside my bungalow,in actual Corbett country!
