Cape Buff hunts are normally $1100 a day plus $2500 trophy fee + air fare's.
$18k will cover it. There are cheaper hunts also.

You can get an end of season hunt on Elephant for that if you are lucky.

Not having you on... Im sure it is a great sheep hunt. Actually, I have some friends who did that very same hunt and it actually is a great hunt but 90k?? Those sheep guys are nutty IMO.

Anyhow - what I am getting at is that its not just the outfitters that look at what a 'rare' hunt can sell for... it is also the property owners - they see what other rare single-specie hunts sell for and they drive the price up. They think 'well if a sheep is worth $90K my banteng (trophy fee) must be worth at least $6,000k. The Indians that own those sheep will be copping north of 50% of that hunt cost and they KNOW what those sheepo are worth.

Speaking of expensive hunts (and apologies for the off-topic) ... I had an email the other day from a friend in RSA who has 2 black rhino available to hunt, on a large game reserve - $250,000 each!!! Dont know if he will find a buyer or not but that is what they are selling for.... incredible really.

I bet JA Hunter is glad he´s gone to the great hunting grounds in the sky, at that price he´d be owing 250 mill US$ to someone best

Yes - the black rhino were something of a pest species back then!! So too lions ... that werent really regarded as 'game' animals... rather just pests that could bite back...

That is why its the toughest tag to draw in the US on public land...
I believe Tiburon and Carmen islands are the place to go for the biggest, but you've got to really love sheep (or ticking off lists) to pay those prices !

To my knowledge there are only two outfitters who can supply legal Banteng (Karl Goodhand being the main one) plus one behind wire.

Looked at Karl Goodhand's site. Are any of his DVDs any good?
