well i got a rifle and yes its a double its a VC 600 NE and yes i will post pictures after i go to the range i just compiled all the reloading items i needed im going to start with a load of 160 gr og IMR 4831 with a 900 gr woodliegh, now that should make a nice what ever i want to shoot load.this has been a dream of mine all my life now i can cross it off my bucket list.i am so psyched just holding it screams POWER PLUS SOME.will keep you posted.i joined the DRSS also now thats five doubles before im 60 im proud of that.now its time to start thinking africa i need to go i have to go i will go......will post SCI pictures also

FFS. The rifle doesn't define the experience. FWIW I'd be happy to do it with a 404 Jeff bolt gun.

i agree ,but the dream has always been to do africa the classic epic way i dont want anything but a buffalo.i started out wanting everything in north america i got up to 14 species after the mountain grizzly and big alligators i wanted more dangerous game.the rifle is just part of my dream.its like fly fishing yea it can be done with a worm and a hook just as well.but the doubles there is a mystical thing about them and the 600 class even more.its only my little fantasy world where it matters but its fun.

I'd sell five doubles and go now. You only need one to hunt.Everything else is baggage.

i am selling off a good number of single tube items,375 x2,458,460,300 ultramag,300 wby x2,and a couple of shot guns. i am on a mission have been ever since i was a little boy running a trap line for muskrats and stalking elephants only back then the elephants had fuzzy tails and long ears.i have been lucky enough to take over half of all the big game species here in north america i want to see an african sunset i want to savor the smell of africa i will do what ever i have to to do my safari my way.and as i sit at the camp fire with a fine cigar and a good drink i will be smiling.
