Very nice.

Is that 1994 one an Albino ?

Or just a light Coloured Buffalo ?

I have a set of horns from an Albino buff but they are darker than you would expect.

What do you mean ? If hunting is possible today in Malaysia ? I think no , the hunting in this time for foreign people was dependent on a Austrian PH resident in Malaysia. I loose the contact ! Malaysia is a country with restricted laws , especially for firearms !

GV

Thanks very much for posting.

Can you tell us more about the hunts?

Did you hunt in the mountains or other "remote" locations? Are there, or were there, a lot of wild buffalo? Any details of the hunts?

Greedy to hear the stories as it is an unusual location in more modern times.

Pahang is a big rain forest aera in the mid of the Malaysia peninsula with a N.P. in the center, and mountains and valleys . Normally you hunt the Arni's / Waterbuffalos in the valleys on the border between jungle and plantation near the Kampongs , the villages in the forest ! The hunting deep in the rain forest is very difficult, quite impossible because the short distance of sighting ! In the mountain i saw Seladangs / Gaurs , but this hunt is prohibited in all countries ! No Bantengs ! South / East Asia was a great Big game hunting aera very different from Africa ! There are the big fives and eurasian game like deers, wild boars , bears ...

Thank you for the answer! You worked-out my question correctly! Sorry, I shouldn't have used Aussie slang. Cheers, Ben

Thank you GV for restoring the images and any new ones. Interesting and quite rare today.

What rifle did you use in the photo above?
