LickiLovac,

It does sound interesting; even more so if it's a double rifle drilling, a "Bock" (O/U) drilling, or rarer yet, the rifle over SXS shot tubes variety.

Early (1950's) post war Sauer & Son Drillings included a .303 British chamber option. Being a tapered case and flanged (rimmed), it's similar to an 8x57R and so a natural choice for a break-open actions.
