G;day Nitro
I use a Ruger No1 tropical in 375 H&H for scrub bulls in central Queensland Australia
the best load i have found is 72 grs of AR2208 with a 270 gr Woodleigh protected point
bullet at a chronagraphed speed of 2700 fps.The woodleigh's are the best bullets
i have tryed so far .I also reload for a Model 70 Win in 375 wby cal i use a load of 75.5 grs
of AR2208 with 270gr Woodleigh bullets it has a bit extra punch then the 375 h&H and is a very
easy round to reload.
catch you later

Thanks for those loads. I would have used AR2208 but had 3 cans of AR2209 on hand and no AR2208. So the first lot was using the AR2209. If they don't work out I will certtainly try your load.

I want to get hold of some Woodleigh Protected Points in 300 gr to see how they shoot. I don't have any in stock though at the moment.

My ultimate aim is to find a good premium softpoint and a "solid" with reasonable accuracy and which hit the target in a similar place. Woodleighs have an excellent reputation for dangerous game rounds.
