From: Bigfive (Original Message) Sent: 5/28/2002 4:37 PM What is a typical hunting day for all you guys out there?
On this side of mother earth we would wake up 4:30 or 5:00 in the morning, get cleaned up and have some rusks with coffee or a light breakfast. Then we'll go into the bush and you walk the whole day.Sometimes we'll come back for lunch at about 12:00-13:00pm.Go back to the bush untill dark or about 18:00pm.If you shot anything you go back to camp get the pick-up and go get the animal to bring it back to camp. But in the night around a hardwood bushveld fire we'll have a drink(the drinkers)or a soda or coffee and listen to all the bulls**t excuses of the guys who did'nt get anything and laugh over a few jokes and then to bed after supper(wich will be fresh impala liver or warthog ribs or a kudu stake)

From: Nitro Sent: 7/10/2002 2:39 AM If hunting deer hereabouts, the fallow deer are on mixed farming land and bush.
So up and out before dawn, so as to be in a prime hunting area by the time there is light enough to see. Hunt for several hours glassing ridge lines, valleys, bush. Probably back at the quarters late morning for an early lunch. Take it easy for the middle of the day, when the deer are probably bedded down and out of site. Then out by 3pm for an afternoon walk, back after dark.
Unless you are successful ofcourse.. then the real work starts.

From: redbeard Sent: 7/11/2002 1:26 AM I am most likely one of the few guys that will camp out to rabbit hunt for a week and then it load the dogs guns and hit the sticker bushes and hedge rows. Then we sit around the fire and drink some saintpauli beer of the Gods or some bombay gin
