Not a huge trophy Hippo but a PAC animal that gave this village breakfast. A one rd kill from my .470 NE, a brain shot from approx 50 yds was a great start to my last Safari. The 500 grain Woodleigh solid was found well back in his body.

This was a PAC hunt in SA in 2006. An escapee from Kruger. I hunted with 4 Parks Board Wardens on this hunt. We took 2 that night in a farmers sugar cane field.

That`s a good reason to knock that animal having to feed that horde,good pic.
