Westley Richards, QEII Corornation Rifles of 1953.

G'Day Fella's,

Thought some of you blokes might know a bit more on this subject than myself.
There appears to be a total lack of information on the internet on these rifles?

Apparently some amount of rifles were made or were commissioned to be made by Westley Richards, to commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. The rifles I was interested in, were chambered for .375 H&H Magnum. The answers I'm looking for are; How many rifles were actually made for this event, In what calibers or Were they all .375 H&H Magnums?

Any input or knowledge that you can contribute on this subject, would be very much appreciated!

Hi Hommer

Not sure if this will help with your quest for information, but when you get a minute click on the attched link http://www.schwandtclassicarms.com/, go to Bolt Rifles, then select Westley Richards 375 H&H Engraved Coronation Rifle, I believe this is the rifle you are referring to.

G'Day 350 Rigby,

Thank you for helping me out with the link to this uncommon rifle.
Interesting to see that WR utilised an FN action(?) and not a commercial Mauser action.

At an appropriate time, I may be able to go into some more detail with regards to my interest in these particular rifles.

Thank You again for your assistance!

HooRoo for now
