Buttplate for a post WW-II Merkel 200E

Gents,
Seeking some assistance finding a post WW-II Merkel 12 ga Model 200E buttplate. The buttplate was broken during a recent move and I have desperately been trying to find another. Does anyone know a good source? Merkel USA can do it but would have to sand/refinish a portion of the stock to add one on, Numrich did not have any and NC Ordnance sent me one for a pre-war buttstock. Would appreciate any feedback that you may offer- thank you.

Apologize, forgot to mention that this one was made in the former East Germany and as far as I know will not take the currently manufactured buttplate- thanks again for any assistance

As each buttplate was individually fitted and sanded to the stock, you will not get around some stock refinishing.

Igorrock, yes I the only difference between mine and the pictured ones are that there is nothing within the oval other than that they appear the same. Hole spacing is 3 1/4" center to center. Any idea on how I might obtain? -kuduae, you are correct in that and a call to Merkel confirmed this however greatly wanted to avoid this if at all possible even if I would have to settle for a small difference in the fit. Thank you
