My Dad used to go Pidgeon Shooting in the UK and
he used to take my brother and I to pick up.
It was great fun.
Plus we used to spend time in bush doing
other things so I always liked being outside
and when I came to Australia, my interest took off.

The hunting video's and hunting tales consume me!!
What a rush--
That and shooting big bores accurately at Big African Game--
Something satisfying about stalking big game and about being in the middle of such game instead of waiting in a treestand to whack a deer a ways off.
Yep, it was watching those african hunts and shooting my 416 and the big Merkel that closed the deal.
I would watch and think--"That's great! I should be doing that!!"

hoppdoc , you sound like me , I still deer hunt "some" , but it doesnt satisfy the craving ...

Your comment took me back in time a bit,,,When I was a kid on the farm, Sundays was our day off, my two brothers and I used to go out to the pastures and literally shoot our .22's the entire day.. on gophers, rabbits or whatever but primarily the ground squirrels..
